Chashma-ye Rawshan means the bright spring in Dari, a language spoken in Maimana, the Afghan town where this runner was woven on our own looms. It took two to four months, in hand-spun wool coloured with root and bark in small batches, so the soft bands of colour, called abrash, are part of the weave. Each runner is woven once, and no other runner has this exact pattern. When it sells, the listing stays up marked Sold. We do not restock it.
Woven in Maimana, Afghanistan. Washed, sun-dried and finished in Pakistan, and shipped to you from there. Wool warp and weft, no pile, about 3 to 5 mm thick.
